What is a Fuel Pump?
Pushes fuel from the tank to the injectors at the pressure they need to spray properly.

Sat inside or near the tank, the fuel pump pressurises the fuel system so injectors can atomise fuel into a fine mist rather than dribbling it in.
A simple analogy
“The heart of the fuel system — pushing petrol around under pressure exactly like a heart pushes blood.”
How it works
An electric motor spins an impeller that draws fuel from the tank and pushes it through the fuel lines to the injectors at a regulated pressure, usually several bar. A weak pump can't maintain that pressure under load, starving the engine at high revs.
Signs of trouble

- ⚠Engine that starts fine but struggles at speed
- ⚠Whining noise from the tank when the ignition is on
- ⚠Stalling at high revs or under load
