What we collect

Contacting us

We don't run a web contact form on this site. The Contact page provides an email address; if you email us, we keep that message and any reply in our normal mailbox so we can respond and refer back to the thread if you contact us again. We don't add email addresses to a marketing list.

What we don't do

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which explainers are useful. It only runs if you accept analytics via the cookie bar. IP addresses are not stored by us. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

MOT history checker

When you use the MOT checker, the registration number you enter is sent to the DVSA's MOT history service to retrieve the vehicle's public MOT record. We do not store registration numbers or results, and we do not link them to you.
