Battery Range Estimator Explained
Estimates remaining riding range based on battery charge, riding style and conditions.
In plain English
Rather than a simple percentage, the range estimator calculates an approximate number of miles remaining based on current battery charge, recent riding style, terrain and even temperature.
How it works
The battery management system tracks charge level continuously, while onboard software factors in recent energy consumption patterns to project a more realistic remaining range than a simple linear percentage-to-miles calculation would give.
Estimates can swing noticeably if you suddenly ride harder or hit a hill, similar to an EV car's range estimate — worth treating as a guide rather than a guarantee, especially before a long single-charge trip.
