What are Ride Modes?

Ride modes bundle together throttle response, maximum power delivery, traction control sensitivity and ABS behaviour into named presets — Rain, Road, Sport — so a rider can adapt the bike's character to conditions with one button press.

How it works
Selecting a mode tells the ECU which pre-configured maps to use for throttle mapping, power output, traction control intervention level and, on some bikes, suspension damping. Each system then behaves according to that mode's settings until you switch again.
Signs of trouble
- ⚠Modes not saving after the ignition is switched off
- ⚠Noticeably reduced power stuck on, even in Sport
- ⚠Menu system freezing or failing to respond
- ⚠Warning light relating to a ride-mode-linked system
