What are Handlebars?

Handlebars set your riding position and steering leverage, and provide the mounting point for the clutch and brake levers, switchgear, mirrors and grips.

How it works
Clamped either directly to the fork tops or via risers, the bars pivot the whole front end when you push and pull on them. Their width, sweep and height significantly affect riding position, comfort and how quick or relaxed the steering feels.
Signs of trouble
- ⚠Visible bending after a drop or impact
- ⚠Vibration through the grips that worsens with speed
- ⚠Looseness at the clamp
- ⚠Uneven feel side to side when turning
