USB / Power Sockets Explained
Onboard charging ports for phones, sat-navs and other electronics on the move.

A weatherproof socket, usually USB-A, USB-C or a bare 12V outlet, lets you charge or power devices like phones and sat-navs directly from the bike's electrical system while riding.
How it works
Wired into the bike's electrical system, the socket steps down voltage to whatever the connected device needs, typically 5V for USB. Most are fused separately to protect the rest of the bike's electrics if a device faults.
What it feels like to use
Removes the anxiety of a dying phone mid-tour, particularly valuable if you're relying on it for navigation.
